[Help request] How to import a beets-organised library that was scrubbed of metadata

Hi!

I did a silly.
I was moving my music library folder, so I wanted to reimport my entire library. Since they were all tagged with beets and everything, I thought I'd just do a beet import . --nocopy --nowrite since everything was tagged and organised by beets already.

However, I also had the scrub plugin enabled, which promptly nuked the metadata on all of the files, so now they have none.

The files are still organised neatly, example folder structure:

When I do beet import on my music library, however, it finds nothing 😭

It seems to find the track names properly, but not the album.

Is there any way I can tell beets to take the album name from the folder?

I haven't used the scrub plugin, but can you check whether the Beets DB still has the metadata? If so, you can use beet write to write the tags.

It does, but the of the albums changed. How would I go about reconciling that?

Actually I'll just move the files back to their original folder, write tags, and re-import like that.
