I wonder if we should be include CARMA's ability to generate optics file in this regression test? Thanks for the PR.

Would it be worthwhile to turn on carma's ability generate the optics files in this test -- carma_do_optics = .true.?

The rad_climate and rad_diag_* would point to aerosol optics files in the run director.
Something like:

Thanks for the suggestion. I added carma_do_optics but used the generated optics files in rad_diag_3 instead of rad_climate, to avoid potentially introducing answer changes in the baseline. In this way cprnc will just say diff_test: the two files DIFFER only in their field lists since the new diagnostic list added new fields compared to the existing test. Please let me know if you like me to replace rad_climate instead.
