In the meantime you can build it yourself — see GettingStarted.md.
- Fully offline product database. Around 3 million products live on your phone, not behind an API. Searches and scans resolve instantly with no network round-trip, and they keep working on a plane or in a supermarket basement. The catalog refreshes in the background whenever you have a connection. Fast and privacy-friendly — your food log never leaves the device.
- An adaptive calorie goal. ACT doesn't trust a one-shot TDEE formula. It watches your weight trend against your target and re-tunes your daily calorie goal automatically, closing the loop between what you eat and what the scale actually says.
- Built for power users. A bottom log-bar with one-tap shortcuts (recipes, quick-add, search, scan), a numpad-first track screen, and the metrics that matter surfaced where you can read them at a glance. Logging a meal is seconds, not a guided tour.
- No noise. No AI, no motivational quotes, no popups, no nagging notifications. ACT is a tool that does its job and then gets out of your way.
- Free and open source, forever. No ads, no subscriptions, no upsells. GPLv3.
- Tuned for Germany (DACH). The product database is curated and field-tested for the German market — real local products and corrected nutrition data, not a raw Open Food Facts dump. Metric units only (g/ml/kg).
ACT is not a medical application. All data provided is not validated and should be used with caution. Please maintain a healthy lifestyle and consult a professional if you have any problems. Use during illness, pregnancy or lactation is not recommended.
The application is under active development — errors, bugs and crashes might occur.
ACT began as a hard fork of OpenNutriTracker by Simon Oppowa. Product data is sourced from Open Food Facts and Food Data Central.
