[Feature Request]: Enable Hosted Remote MCP deployment from the VS Code extension #22280

@kshyju

Description

@kshyju

Feature Description

Enable Hosted Remote MCP deployment from the VS Code extension.

Users should be able to select MCP as the ApiType and click Deploy, which provisions a managed SQL MCP server. Under the hood, this should invoke the same ARM APIs used by this workflow:
Create a hosted MCP server

The result of this operation is a ready-to-use MCP endpoint that users can immediately start consuming.

Problem and Motivation

There is currently no one-click deployment option for remote MCP hosting from the development experience. Users must navigate to the Azure portal and manually perform the deployment steps.
